Aeristech Wins 2010 Wales Innovation Award

Aeristech Ltd has won the prestigeous Wales Innovation Award for 2010, beating strong competition to the top prize. Aeristech has designed, built and applied ultra high speed permanent magnet motor technology to turbochargers to eliminate perceived turbo lag and improve fuel efficiency. The company's innovation incorporates precise control of its motors - the world's fastest and fastest accelerating electric motors, capable of achieving speeds in excess of 120,000 rpm almost instantly.
Bryn Richards, CEO of Aeristech, speaking at the high profile award ceremony said: “The motor industry is now seeking to bring the highest efficiency, lowest cost turbo systems into its supply chain and it is forecast that by 2014 around 75% of all European light vehicles will be boosted by turbo technology. We are delighted to have won this award which is a reflection of the progress that we have made in developing our unique Hybrid Turbocharger Technology in Wales.”
