Aeristech is looking for apprentices to join our engineering team in Leamington Spa

Engineering Apprentice

Aeristech’s patented technology enables us to make the world’s fastest accelerating and most power-dense permanent magnet variable speed electric motors. Reporting to a mentor, the role will be to support all elements of product development, prototyping and low-volume manufacturing.

What will the apprentice be doing?

The role will include a rotation giving exposure to all technical aspects of the business, including R&D, product design, electronics, manufacturing, machine shop, quality and maintenance.
Reporting to a mentor and working within the various teams, the role will be to support all elements of: -
 - product development
 - prototyping
- low-volume manufacturing

The successful applicant will learn everything about our processes. We will also ensure that there is sufficient opportunity to for practical experience to support the classroom learning.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Engineering Technician (Standard):
• Level 3 Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
(Development Competence) - NVQ
• Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced
Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
• Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
(Foundation Competence)
• Level 2 Award for Foundation Phase Gateway
• Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths (if
End Point assessment

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Permanent position

Annual wage

£16,000 to £18,000 depending on experience.

Working week

Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week. Hours to be agreed between 8.00 – 1700 Earlier finish on a Friday
