Senior Prototyping Technician
Join our dynamic and innovative team based in Warwickshire, as a highly skilled and versatile prototyping technician. As we continue to rapidly scale and transition from prototypes to volume manufacturing, this role will play a pivotal role in facilitating this shift and ensuring our continued success.
In this position, you will be responsible for the assembly of prototype and low-volume products to support our customers' projects. Utilizing a range of hand tools, soldering equipment, inspection gauges, and custom tools, you will construct intricate components with precision and attention to detail. Additionally, you will conduct thorough leak, electrical, and performance testing, adhering to defined processes to ensure the highest level of quality and functionality.
As part of your responsibilities, you will also provide key support in setting up and building test rigs for new products or specific test requirements. You should have a good understanding of specialist equipment and the ability to operate them with appropriate training.
Collaboration is key in our close-knit team, and we value individuals who can work effectively in such environments. While you will have a degree of autonomy, your ability to contribute to a small team and support the collective goals is crucial. A minimum of an HND or equivalent in Engineering is required, and experience with mechanical assembly is essential. Previous experience in highly regulated manufacturing industries such as automotive, aerospace, or medical would be advantageous. Additionally, knowledge of electronics and ESD, as well as experience working in a small team or supporting simple tool room activities, would be beneficial.
